is there a data base somewhere i can scan his pictures to and they can do a world wide search for the idenity of this man? How can I find him? He isn't lost. I am just trying to find him. How can I find him with only his pictures?

All I can think of what you can do is if you know where he's from you can place a HUGE ad in the local papers there with your contact info (PO BOX, or Message center, email address)
Other than that just make a website and put it into search engines so people will click on it and maybe, just maybe someone will know him.

If it's someone that matters to you that you find him, how do you not at least have a name? Only in the case of someone looking for a biological parent and not knowing their name can I think of this kind of scenario making sense...
So what is it, a crush on a some guy in magazine ads? ; )

Hire a private investigator is the only way I see it happening. Good luck with that, because with no name it's bound to be really difficult. But deffinitely look into a private investigator because usually they will be able to pull out of you information you didn't even know you had.

How did you get the pictures if you don't know who he is.
I suppose you could create a website saying "Do you know this man"? or put up posters.

how do you find his pictures? you know his location? find a website or message boards near his place, then post his picture there.
somebody might recognize him.
