What desperate measures can we take to end global warming??

The movie presentation was fantastic. However, the web site he refers at the end totally blows. Also, he didn't spend enough time on solutions to the problem. Al, if you are watching, do you think changing some light bulbs is really gonna make the earth cooler? You should have specified that massive awareness in addition to massive action is needed to change global warming. Desperate times for desperate measures should have been emphasized...Huge corporations need to act. Thanks.

I think what he was trying to present it as a manageable problem. People have to start off small, like changing light bulbs, and then eventually when they see how painless it is hopefully they'll work their way up.
If you present something too seriously and say that things must be done and show people changing their lives drastically they're less likely to change than when you show that a few manageable changes can have a good effect.

You are baseing life on a fictional movie. This "movie" is a victory for AL Gore. I'm not being sarcastic, I just have a way of picking movies apart. That's why no one wants to watch movies with me. Really, there's state of the art special effects. There's always an agenda which may or may not be true. It may be partly true. Or itr may be something that has been going on as long as the history of the earth. Movies are very persuasive. But I always burst everyones bubble by pointing these things out all through out movies which is probobly upsetting. I'm sorry if I've irritated you. Everything I hear, I ALWAYS ask myself "Now, WHY shoul I belive that?"

Global warming; Global cooling? None can give a definitive answer as to which it is. How do you predict an eons long cyclical pattern with only 400 HARDCORE years worth of evidence? Now they are saying that the CO2 levels during the last ice age were 12 times higher than now...caused by what? car emissions? What about the volcanoes that have been spewing BILLIONS of tons of pollutants into our atmosphere for HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YEARS! Can you compare our measly 200 year industrial revolution to that? And yet here we are, and I'm breathing just fine, and my sunblock stock is making me rich because of all of this JUNK SCIENCE!

I didn't see it,but I can draw a conclusion based on what I know about AL. I'll bet he exaggerated on everything he said. Or he probably lied which wouldn't surprise me. I wonder what the people in Minot North Dakota,or International Falls MN. would say about global warming. Every year new records are set in the northern states for cold temps. Also records are broken for heat. No one wants to talk about the cold except me. I hate it. I hope it never gets below 85 degrees again. But,it will.

I learned a long time ago to always listen to both sides of an argument and make my own decision. The website link below refutes a lot of what Al Gore is presenting as facts. I don't know who is right, but regardless of what Al says, the debate most assuredly is not over. Check it out for yourself, it's kind of technical but it has some great explanations and data.

Carbon dioxide is a green house gas and people create it by breathing. If Al Gore thinks people should decrease the amount of greenhouse gasses they produce, he should lead by example.
