KNO3 is a good fertiliser, which supplies potassium and nitrogen, the essential elements for crop growth. It contains 46% potassium and 15% nitrogen. 320 grams of KNO3 can be dissolved in one litre of distilled water. It is also an oxidising agent. It is used in explosive powders. Potassium nitrate may be available with your local laboratory chemical suppliers.

KNO3 is also known as Saltpeter, used as an oxidizer in gunpower, explosives, and in fireworks, to pickle some meats, or in some chemical reaction where you need an oxidizer.
You can buy it by doing a google search on the name Potassium Nitrate and ordering from a chemical supply house. I'll let you do your own searches.
It is no longer sold in pharmacies because it is no longer used as a diuretic. It is not sold in garden stores because there you would find ammonium nitrate as the fertilizer of choice.

the real question is, what are you looking to do with potassium nitrate? Either Fischer or Scientific American will sell it to you.
