I got a really good handbook which suggests babies the age of 9 1/2 months should go to bed around 7:30 pm, with 1 to 2 naps during the day. And wake up around 7 am. My first son woke up a lot, and I followed her advice and it greatly improved his sleep habits.

If the babies are up in the a.m. fairly early and nap around 10 a.m., try and get them to last until after dinner and put them in bed maybe by 7. The only problem is a 10 am nap is early enough that they may nod off before dinner. When mine slept I left them alone and enjoyed any break I could get. Babies this young usually do what THEY want and put mom and dad on their schedule. I know, my three are almost grown, it goes by faster than you might imagine, my youngest is 12. Good Luck, (I miss my kids being babies and never thought I'd see the day!)

Every baby is different, and someone will always tell you you're putting your child to bed at the wrong time. I feel if they are on a schedule, and it works for you and the baby, that's what matters.
My son gets up around 8:30am, naps for 2-4 hours in the afternoon, and goes to sleep between 9-10pm depending on how ne napped that day. It works out perfect for him, my husband and me.

i start getting my 10 month old ready for bed at 7:45...brushing teeth changing into pajamas...around 8 i sit and rock him for about 15 minutes and when he is all wound down i put him in his crib and he falls asleep on his own just before 8:30. make sure the twins are in bed before they get fussy otherwise u will struggle to get them to close their eyes.

My 15mo old sleeps from 7pm-7am 98.5% of the time since he was 5mo old. It has worked for us we get excellent time alone together. I will let up a little at a time as I see that he is not as sleepy at this time. Probably eventually extending till 8:45pm depending on age.
