My mother got hooked up with the worst guy ever! He cheats on her beats on her, you name it he has done it and it would take pages to explain everything but anyway i have moved her in and out of my house several times and other places over him i have took out several charges on him that he has been found guilty of and i now have a restraning order on him! He went to jail for about 6 months over some other stuff he did to a woman he was cheating with and i thought thank god mom will have time to get over him ! She also has tried to kill her self over him ! I am married and have children , me and my husband are very happy, no argueing goes on in front of my kids and since all of this has happened they have witnessed some of these didturbing incidents. This is affecting my family tramendously! So after he went to jail for 6 months i told my mother if she went back to him again i was done with her, SHE IS BACK WITH HIM ! So do i wash my hands , and say she can have at it or what?

No u did right honey, she rathered have him over u but u did right u and your husband and his sorry *** should of stayed in jail longer than 6 months.

I dont think you should wash your hands. You helped her b/c that is what family does. You can love her, but not approve of her decision. I would let her know how bad it hurt you to see her go back, but the decision that she made is hers & only she can decide to leave. Apparently she loves him & cant live independent. Has she seeked psychological counsel? My best friend did & it did help her overcome her first husband. Best of luck.

your mom is obviously very insecure in herself, she feels she deserves what she gets, she really needs to seek out counseling so she can build her own self esteem. you need to reinforse your love for her and dont give her ultimatums . tell her no mater what you will be there for her and you hope she survives so she can enjoy your childern and your grand childern but you cant keep putting yourself and you family through this and simple and calmly tell her you hope she understands and next time she wants to leave take her to a womans shelter and not to your home.
at least there she might get the counseling she needs and the moral support she will need to become strong enough to leave him forever

You haven't called the cops? No other family? Do everything you can cuz if she's killed you're probably gonna be asking yourself "Why didn't i do more?"

you should not be invovled in your mother's sitiation, you tried to helped her and it didn't work. you should focus on your own family.
