Why is it PC to hate the Jews?

Watching and reading the news you can see the hate flow from the them.

That's funny...that's not what I see when I watch and read the news. I think that most news organizations are biased in favor of Jews.

Maybe this has to do with where I'm from, but I don't even have any opinions about Jews in general. I've never thought of them as anything different from me.

When I see a question like yours - or Jewish people described as "the Jews" - for some reason I think of Israel...I don't think of individual people.

I guess it depends on what news channel you are watching. I thought that some weren't outraged enough at what happened and were too sympathetic with the Israeli offensive actions against Lebanon (as an example). Also, I have yet to experience one historical film/documentary/non fictional work that neglects to 1) mention the Holocaust 2) NOT mention other atrocities committed by other parties during WWII. That said, it's all relative. Put on CNN and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

For the record, merely questioning circumstances, actions, etc. of the Israeli government or trying to acknowledge other events surrounding WWII (w/o mentioning the Holocaust) isn't anti-Semetic. It is exhausting that this term is whipped out of the holsters SO readily; it is used as if to stop all discussions regardless of the actual positions of the persons involved.

it isn't except among morons. C'mon wake up people. Maybe the news networks aren't editorializing against Israel but anyone who uses this forum can read it daily in questions and answers. The anti-war, anti-Bush, terrorist sympathizing, left rails constantly against jews. Have you all forgotten the whole "jews caused 9-11 conspiracy theory"? None of these people seems to believe Israel has a right to defend itself or credits them with enough intelligence to know how best to defend itself.

There's a big difference between "Jews" and the policies of the Israeli government. People usually root for the underdog. Why is it that palestinian militants take a soldier hostage and the Israeli government thinks it's right to kidnap half the Palestinian government?

I love Jews, but not any more than Palestinians.

Violence and agression are wrong and hurtful no matter who is doing it.
