File a complaint at the police department. They will issue a warrant to the driver.The driver will plead not guilty. The case will go to court (small claims unless they insist on a lawyer).unless you have it on video or really compelling evidence you will lose.If they have a lawyer you will lose.If you add up all the time you miss at work you will find you could have bought two windshields.You cant sue for the time you spend persuing the case.

did you get a license number, co. name, save the trash for a bill or something?

after six months the only company you can contact to get to pay for it is your insurance company.

the city,but if it was 6 months ago.it could be hard for them to pay for it.
