Kudos are given when you agree with what a person is saying or they say something that rings true right now.
e.g
If you said you could murder a really large 1/4 pounder with fried onions and cheese I would give you a Kudos because I could go for one right about now.
Naturally if you say something I disagree with you get nothing :)
