Life and/or God, are no respecters of persons. It's good to be good, and it's smart to be smart, but in the end, neither guarantees us a life free of trials or tribulations.

Because we the Good People tend to be polite, forgiving and somewhat naive about the possibility of people *abusing their authority* and so we have an *annoying* habit of putting bad people in charge in spite of our best efforts....

And this is when the system works, mind you, and the other bad people don't *get organized*. When *that* happens we are all screwed, and life eventually becomes rotten all over until folks get soured on their naivete, get really pissed off, and rise up to crush the Lords and Ladies above them....

Unfortunately, we ordinary folks muddling around in the middle between Good and Bad somewhere usually end up slipping through the cracks and becoming so much "collateral damage" when all this hits the fan.

And that, in a nutshell, is *history* for you in its most generic, proper-noun-free terms, *lol*. Your Mileage May Vary, Read the Manual, Hope this Helps, etc, Ad Nauseam....

one reason: to show us the value of things good that do happen in our own lives. We should not take things for granted.

When something bad happens to good people, it's not necessarily all that bad. it's just a road block, obstacle. and many time, it is used to slow us down and look at the blessings that we had or how many blessings the person with the bad situation has/had.

A lot of people ask this question all of the time including myself. I do believe that if the good people sit back and look at all the blessings they have in their life, they will know that it doesn't always happen that way. And that the good people will win in the end.

Good thing happen to bad people, because bad people are usually more outgoing and have more ambition then good people, they are willing to go beyond the necessary to make it to the top. Good people want to be nice and not push as hard since it could be seen as pushy.

Who are you to judge people like that? What makes you think that YOU are so good and those people are so bad?

Maybe you caught the "bad" people at the wrong time and since then, you can't see the good in them because you already made up your mind about them.

bad and good things happen to everyone, its just some ppl don't take the time to relazie all the good things-so their never seen or known about, there really aren't "bad ppl" "good ppl" we are all just "ppl" human and nothing else-everyone makes mistakes-just some ppl don't know how to deal with their problems as much as other ppl do, I feel that if we are all in this world together "good and bad" we should all help and make things better for both the "good and the bad ppl" for without eachother we'd have no one

Because we are trying to impose order on the chaos of nature. As yet we have only myths about how order can arise from chaos so we are just at the v. beginning of controlling how things should be.
If we ever do develop complete control over our lives the beauty of good luck will have to be destroyed in the name of fairness and equality so make the most of what you have while we have it.

because bad things make people humble and good things make people arrogant.
People adapt. If good things happened to you; you will eventually become a bad person

actually, things happen in a random way. good and bad people experience good and bad things. we tend to notice more when bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people. for instance, you have terrible neighbors, who live loudly, rudely, and maybe, at your expense. they are always home, have little in the way of material things, and are always in trouble of some kind. if they win 100 bucks, we say "man why did they have to win, it isnt fair. when they have trouble, we dont notice at all. it is human nature.
