We purchased this car used and it came with no owners manual. We have changed the oil, but can't figure out the combination to reset the "CHANGE OIL NOW" warning on the drivers information display.

gas pedal is one way. But if you have the DIC center with the flip up cover you need to open the cover on the dash. Then press the angine button until it displays oil life then hold down reset for about 10-15 seconds.

I had a 98 Olds Intrigue, and in that, you reset the change oil light by turning the key on (but not starting the car) and pressing the gas pedal to the floor 3 times then turning the key off.

take hot wire from battery, wait 5 minutes or so then put back on
the battery, make sure you do not touch any metal while holding the hot wire. this should reset the computer.
if this doesnt work, get a decoder(like the mechanic has but smaller) that reads oldsmobile 97 models, buy the book that details the codes, then go to a mechanic if anything comes up again, its a lot cheaper this way. good luck
auto stores should sell the decoder.
be certain that you buy the decoder for your car*

Many cars have a reset button in the passenger compartment fuse box.

OK, I looked this up. Select engine on the digital information center and scroll until you get to the oil % - hold down "reset" for about 10 seconds.

You would need a code scanner to reset the code. However, these are pretty expensive, and useless if you are not properly trained on how to use them. Your best bet is to take it to a shop or dealer. Most oil change places should also be able to do it.
