No, not if it is stable, ie doesn't burst. If it bursts you will probablly have it removed as it will be extremely painful, but the op is a laparoscopy (key hole) and doesn't penetrate the sack containing baby. Obviously there is a small risk if this happens but the cyst is unlikely to burst.
I have had a 3cm, 5cm and 9cm cyst in the last 9 months, all of which have been removed. My gynae said that they are likely to keep coming back, but has encouraged us to get pregnant anyway.
To suggest that someone with ovarian cysts isn't healthy enough to conceive is offensive. Not aimed at the person asking question but at the first respondant. People with gynae problems probably know more than anyone else about conceiving and the ins and outs and make sure they are as healthy as can be if they do conceive. Much more so than people who take drugs, smoke or drink during pregnancy. Give this lady some repect for showing concern in the first place.

My friend had that and she was considered as a high risk pregnancy, her baby was born 3 weeks earlier and the baby was only 5 pounds. She went trough a lot while pregnant, she used to bleed all the time and she was in the hospital every week. However she now has a healthy 1.5 year old and she is fine too. Every body is different you might not have any problems at all or you might have a lot of problems so you should talk to your doctor and also you will have to evaluate how healthy you are because if you already have problems of your own remember that everything gets doubled once you get pregnant. Good luck!!

I don't see why it would, but if you are worried about it ask your Dr. I get a cyst on my ovary every time I ovulate. They can be painful. A cyst is also a good thing during pregnancy. The cyst provides the baby with everything it needs until the placenta begins to work usually around 12 weeks.

no. i am seeing an ednocronologist (fertility specialist). my husband and i are trying to conceive through artifical insemination now because of constant cysts that make my cycle so irregular. i had a large cyst on one ovary. the doctor told me specifically because i have Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrom, that chances are good that i will have a cyst while pregnant BUT, that there would be no risk, because in time they all disolve. i did have one cyst for 3 months before the doctor went in and drained it... but he only did that because we are in a hurry to get pregnant and i couldn't take fertility drugs while i had a cyst. BEST OF LUCK!

No. I found out I was pregnant with my second child when I had one rupture. We are both fine. She will be 6 this fall. Ovarian cysts are actually very common. Most women just don't know they have them. Usually, they are harmless as well. It is part of the cycle.

When I became pregnant with my youngest (she is now 4), I had two ovarian cysts on my right ovary. My OBGYN told me that they posed no threat to me or my pregnancy.
He removed them when my daughter was born via c-section.
I hope that this helps sooth your mind a bit.
Good luck and Peace!

i dont believe so, since cysts tend to only get irritated while you're menstrating.
Check with your doctor, but i dont think it bothers anything. They thought i had cysts, they never did an ultra sound to find out, but they always just told me i had them because my cycles were so horrific, but iam pregnant now and we're both healthy and happy :)

Uterine fibroids are usually not dangerous, but can cause immense discomfort and lead to complications like anemia from heavy blood loss. In rare cases, they may cause complications that affect pregnancy.
In cases where there are no symptoms, treatment may not be necessary. However, proper diagnosis and treatment may be required if your symptoms are severe or causing complications. Along with conventional treatment, you can try some natural home remedies. Read here https://tr.im/xInGP

this sounds like pcos or very simlar, you need to speak to your gp about this, but having pcos i know a little bit whilst i dont think in most cases it would pose a health risk as such but the chance of misscarge might be a little higher as it is for women with pcos. i'm not trying to worry you, but see your gp just in case

yes! you should talk to your doctor. They are very serious. i know it's gross. but what if it bursts? if you have a cyst, you are obviously not healthy currently, especially in this area. there is no way that having a baby could help during this time! Talk to your doctor!
