I'd love to get some "history on middle eastern dance - so far I have

The Tribal Bible
Baubles to Bedlah
Turban to Toering
Grandmother's Secrets
Bellydancing by (ohhh crud it's the little teeny tiny book)

So what books would YOU suggest that I add to my library?

Thanks

I want some history of the dance, I want to know WHY I'm doing this (other then the fact that I love it) and I want to not make a fool of myself when I'm talking about the dance that I love!!!

WOW! You already have Rosina-Fawzia Al-Rawi's "Grandmother's Secrets"

so I can only add:

"Sacred Woman, Sacred Dance"
Iris J. Stewart

THE SAME BOOK YOU READ FOR LEARNING TO SWIMMING .

Sorry you should visit and meet the dancers and lear the techniques instead of reading .
