To run the configuration for cookies, go to Internet options (In the Tools dropdown menu of Internet Explorer) and go to Privacy and look in there. The not responding thing may happen if you have too many programs on the computer. Try getting more RAM. a GB may work.

here it goes my friend

just right click on the internet explorer icon on the desktop and select the proprities if not select the tools from the menu bar within the Internet explorer.....

look for the tab called "Privacy" (must be the third one) you will find a button called Advance and there is the cookies settings...

look for the unwanted softwares in the add/remove programs (with in control panel) and just remove the junk or the unwanted software..... and also mention the software name that is not responding while you try to shut down so that more specific help can be provided... thanks

keep asking
have a nice day!!!!

Well those are two different questions!
The answer to the second one, about shutting down, is to click on "end now".
FOr the first one, about cookies, open your browser. Assuming it is IE (Microsoft's Internet Explorer), go to the Tools menu, then click on Internet Options. Go to the Privacy tab, then click on Advanced.

Hm, probably in settings for both IE and Firefox, beats me....

But I can help you with that problem. It happened to me once. It means a window/hidden window is open when you try to shut off your computer. It could be a variety of things, but the best way is to scan for spyware (Spybot - S&D), clean your startup (CleanTray), or just do good ol' System Restore.

1. Tools ---> Internet Options ---> Privacy
Move that bar up to the top till it says stop all cookies

2. You probably have some spy ware on there. Try using a SpyAware program from Internet or buy one.
