A good place to start is to cut off all benefits (jobs, welfare, social security benefits, health care, education, etc.) to ALL persons who are here illegally. Also known as undocumented workers. Also known as illegal aliens. Also known as children of those illegals who have brought their Mexican born children with them when they jumped the border undocumented. You would be amazed at the savings our country would realize without this extra burden of millions of people. This money could be used to help support those LEGAL AMERICANS less fortunate.

No, that doesn't end poverty. Poverty, is by technique of definition, the state of someone no longer being waiting to pay for his or her each day needs. If the U.S. treasury gave each and each and every citizen a million million money, it may reason extreme monetary instability. the price of the dollar may plummet compared to different international currencies so the price some thing no longer produced locally may sky rocket, this may set of quite some different monetary activities - none of that are good - and the accurate result can be a better physically powerful kind of human beings living in poverty than there at the moment are. there is no reasonable way, short of organic, entire communism (that could no longer exist because it assumes there is no greed) can get rid of poverty. @nameless lower than me: inhabitants element has no longer some thing to do with poverty. you're able to have a inhabitants of three and someone should be in poverty, in the journey that they are unable to pay for his or her straightforward needs. also, it is been shown utilising inhabitants fashions that the Earth will quite be in a position to keep up a minimum of three circumstances its modern inhabitants (foodstuff wise, skill wise is the only issue if we do not change our reliance on petroleum and different fossil fuels).

It would be great to end poverty altogether. There is enough food to feed everyone in the world, but somehow it just doesn't get there.
It seems the people with money would rather spend it on status symbols, like designer purses and SUVs. I mean $1000 for a PURSE?!
It's the same thing with medical care. People with money would rather have elective surgery to feel better about themselves than even consider that impoverished people perish because the cannot afford a life saving operation!
With inmates living better than welfare recipients, I'm stumped! Put everyone in jail?

The best way would be for our goveronment to stop giving hand outs to other countries and worry about it's own people 1st..
Poverty is a result of having little or no good paying jobs left and the price of everything (like gasoline for example) increasing.. AKA, inflation.. Thanks to Bush and his NAFTA proposal ~ everything is packing up and moving over seas..
Someone somewhere overseas is now getting paid 50 cents an hour to do the same job that someone else was once paid $20.00 an hour for over here..
Sad but true, the theivng politicians are fattening their pockets while they sit back and watch our country fall to hell.

The Alaska state constitution claims common heritage rights of ownership of oil and other minerals for the people of the state as a whole. Citizen dividend checks are distributed every year in Alaska out of the interest payments to an oil royalties deposit account called the Alaska Permanent Fund (APF) created in 1976 after oil was discovered on the North Slope. The APF is a public trust fund - a diversified stock, bond and real estate portfolio - into which are deposited the oil royalties received from the corporations which extract the oil from the lands of Alaska. The first citizen dividend check from the interest of the APF was issued in 1982 and was for $1000 per every person for everyone in Alaska who had resided in the state for at least one year. Annual citizen dividends have been issued every year since then, for a total of more than $23,000 per person.
In 2003, each of the nearly 600,000 Alaska US citizens (residents of Alaska for at least one year) received a check for $1,107 from the APF. The total amount dispersed was $663.2 million. The $25 billion investment fund's core experienced stock market losses which led to the dividend's decline this past year compared to the several previous years. The amount was $433 less, a 28 percent drop from the 2002 pay out of $1,540, and a 44 percent decrease from the all-time high of $1,964 in year 2000. The amount changes based on a five-year average of APF investment income derived from the bonds, stock dividends, real estate and other investments.
Alaska relies on oil for about 80 percent of its revenue and has no sales or income tax. Alaska state government is mandated to invest 25% of its oil revenue into the APF while the other 75% of oil royalty revenue is dispersed to other government funds to finance education, infrastructure and social services. If 100% of Alaska's oil royalties had been deposited into the APF, it is conceivable that the CD this year could have been about $4,400 or $17,600 for a family of four. But then there would have been no funds for roads, education and other public services and no funds available to run the state legislature - a libertarian dream fulfillment or a social and economic disaster, which one we will never know. If state services were to have been maintained while 100% of oil royalties were deposited in the APF, there would of course have been the need for income, sales and other taxes on wages and production.
ALL our reps know what Alaska does! If we had earth rights like Alaska for the whole nation, the fed gov could PAY $50,000p/yr and have NO taxes.
No poverty, no welfare, no public housing, no food stamps, no hand outs to the poor of any kind they wouldn't exist, and billions would be cut from the budget and the deficit would not exist!

I personally think to end poverty we'd have to do two things..
Increase spending to develope technology and wait..
Sooner or later I think we'll have the technology to do away with it. Unfortunately it won't be for a very long time...

all ritch people who have more than enough should be required to give aleast half of there money to familys who dont have enough. but the money should be split up between the poor. they should be required to pay a poor tax, an that the poor tax money should be used to build housing for those who have nothing. and those who dont work and live off of the government and can work should be made to work or they dont get help. i work and pay taxes but i also get help from the government for insurance for my children because i can afford it on my own. i go without insurance so that my kids can have it.

you don't, so long as we are humans, human nature will always create a difference in the classes, and there always has to be a top, a bottom and a middle..if we weren't human or subject to human nature then MAYBE TRUE communism, (not what we see in the "communist" govts.) would work and that would get rid of poverty.

First we stop having babies out of wedlock and expecting the government to feed them. Second, we close our borders and send all non citizens and their children back home, and third we execute all prisoners and use the money that was wasted on their trials and medical care and all that garbage to help those who are truly in need.
