Some fed ex stores may be open late. Call around in the phone book.

Depends how far it has to go. If it's to the other side of town, take a walk. If it's in another town, you can fed ex it if their office isn't closed.

You can try UPS or Federal Express. If not, try faxing the letter to the recipient. Or, if you have a scanner, scan the document. Then, send the person an e-mail with the document as an attachment.

If you live in a large city, chances are there is at least one 24hour post office in driving distance. Go to USPS.com to see if there are any you can still get to tonight. Click on find a post office.
Otherwise, unless they were air mailing it, perhaps you can just deliver the letter yourself.

Scan and send it as email, fax, carrier, call out of work and go for a road trip (dont have a license right now DMV hates me, take me with you). if you want a fun answer, go to the tallest building, throw it as a paper airplane, aim, and hope for the best (dont have to pay for postage on any of them :)

Do you have an airport nearby? They sometimes have a post office that is open all night.

If it urgent and you can't fax it...or UPS...go to the airport, train station, or bus station and ask someone to help you!!!
I know someone that sent an envelop by bus! (but he paid for the service!)
Good luck!
