I don't think the American public as a whole stopped caring......Corruption will always be there no matter what. At least that seems to be the case for decades and that is what we are used to. Lame answer maybe but the truth rings in it somewhere I think.

the american public has been duped almost from the begining of the country by schemers like alexander hamilton and his first bank of the united states....following closely the model of the bank of england, this central bank scheme and its small click of people that profit from them and become filthy rich and powerful is imo theroot of all the evil in this country...we now have the diabolical presence of this great evil corruption growing in our midst as the Federal Reserve Bank....not federal at all - its private...and its at the center of the corruption today along with the world bank...kill the bank and u kill the corruption...thats my opinion.

Um...they didn't. I don't know anyone who thinks its ok to have corrupt politicians and elected officials. Pretty lame of you to just generalize like that.

I have been wondering the same thing... needless to say most local city officials that I've dealt with really don't like me.
