Most think that it is Stars and Stripes.
Each branch of the service has their own military paper.

they don't have. The stars and stripes have printed many items that have embarrassed the military, they have freedom to write facts. However they the paper prints a lot of information that the bases/military wants the troops to know. I know of one reporter in 1991 that went to the Philippines to report on a volcano and the base commander did not want the reporter on Clark AB. The information still got in the Stars and Stripes
