I would not recommend it. Even though a dehumidifier is taking water from the air, there is still potential for contamination. A battery must have demineralized, deionized water to dillute the electrolyte or it will damage the internal plates and shorten the life of the battery. Not worth the risk.

Yes. It's ideal. It contains no dissolved salts. It's as good as rain water for that purpose.

why would you a gallon of distilled water is less than a buck, and you can drink what`s left.
