if you work at companies that produce paper, you would want more people that need paper than people reusing them or recycling them just to get more use out of it, but i personally think recycling is a good idea

I suppose if you got your income from a planting forests for making paper, you'd want to promote the expansion of your product by not recycling.
When I lived in Texas, there was no curbside recycling. In Maryland where I live now, we have two days of trash collection. One is Recycling and is unlimited. The other is trash and the limit is 4 trash cans.
We never have more than two, except after Christmas, so we could put all our trash out on the trash day. We do, however, separate our paper, plastic and glass bottles. Yard waste is picked up on Recycle day as well.
I did find a .pdf file on the Internet of results of a survey where a question was, "If you don't recycle, what is the primary reason for not?"
40 people answered the question, 14 were not sure where to take the recyclables and 11 said there was not enough space in their homes. 71 out of 84 said they would recycle if the city collected it at the curb. (See link below:)
