Actually no. I'm more vexed with shorthand like "c u l8r" for "see you later". Arguably, it's all a matter of perspective and maybe "congrads" and "c u l8r" aren't so much different in kind as they are in degree.

No because they are long words. I hate it when people do ti to short things like the name Kelly to Kel. I mean how much shorter can it be?
