For those of you that don't think that history repeats itself:

Islam will make peace with the rest of the world only when the moderate and peaceful majority rises up and deposes the extremists OR the majority finally separates itself from the extremists. That is essentially what happened during the Reformation - The Roman Catholic church saw itself as an all-powerful political entity (that brought about the Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition), and the Protesants finally separated and formed thier own church.

Well, it is possible. The problem is that many Christians in western nations fell like all Muslims want to kill everyone else (as evidenced above). Also, many Muslims in the Middle East feel like Americans and western nations want to kill all of them or get rid of Islam entirely. Both sides feel terribly threatened, and that is not a good starting point when your goal is peace.

The problem isn't Islam. Where there is no justice there is no is peace. When we treat each other as human beings peace will than spread. As now we catogorize groups based on race, religion, political agenda, or ethnicity. That's when we suffer and justice and corruption spreads. As our interests aren't for humanities welfare.

Yes, right after they kill the last person who doesn't believe the way they want them to believe. Well... the way they act.. they would probably then just start killing each other. So when everyone is dead, there will be peace.

It's a very good question, I hope so. I think that all the religion-based problems are mostly caused by a small percentage of zealots and fanatics. No matter what the religion. Hopefully they won't prevail.

This sad violent cult has nothing to offer the civilized world. They know it, and unfortunately have opted to use violence to work out their jealousy.

We can only hope that some day enough of them will be killed to force them to reconsider their pathetic acts, and their pathetic culture and simply convert.
