I'd exhaust all my traditional publishing options first - and then probably go with iUniverse.

I've heard good things about lulu - but I can't see myself doing my own design work and having the book wind up looking like anything I'd like to buy.

I've heard bad things about Authorhouse - and don't know anything about BookSurge or Infinity.

iUniverse has a partnership with Barnes & Noble, so there's a chance to get a bit more exposure there than your typical POD gets. (Still, it's nothing great, though.) I'd want to doublecheck on rights and copyright issues before signing anything.

Is XLibris still in business? I noticed you didn't mention them. Whatever you do, stay away from Publish America !!!
