('way over here in New England!) where it is supposed to be in the nineties over the weekend. and my left knee is healing nicely and all is well in the world. You know, a lot of that attitude thing stems from how a person is getting along with himself. It is gratifying to hear you mention some of the decent folks you have encountered through this Yahoo! Yes. I have encountered many good people. I have corresponded with a few. This is a great place and I believe many people are learning a lot of very valuable information. The rowdy ones will always try to take over and get their way but just as any society we need to actively keep them in check. The "Report Abuse" button is a great tool. Please use it when necessary. Yes. But I just look at it as a really interesting / intriguing social experiment.

Of course, the correct response might be a discussion of what "good" is - do you view "good" as a social construct with a universal definition, or does the term vary based on environmental and other conditions? :)

I have also. I met through YA a wonderful person from Croatia and now we email and send pictures on a regular basis. She is a teacher like me and we speak and write English as a second language. I also have corresponded with persons with the same interests: foreign and indie movies, theater, art, etc.

You run the same risk at any public forum. Mostly, I get a good laugh now & then. Sometimes you can actualy help someone out.
Thats what Yahoo answers is supposed to be about anyways.
