That's a resounding NO.

LOL, I had to laugh at the below comment. If I didn't see the word "libtard" on here every single day, I might actually believe it.

There are levels of intelligence in each party. Unfortunately, in this forum, you see extremes on the unintelligent side quite often.

I would be cautious to classify all liberals or conservatives by the answers here, BUT I tend to see more well thought out answers from the conservatives than the liberals.

And on some subjects, the liberals opinion sounds good, till you give it more thought, then the conservative opinion makes more sense.

Example: Liberals say raising the minimun wage will help the poor. Conservatives point out that if the minimun wage is raised, employers will have to either hire fewer people or be slower to give pay raises. Or raise the price of the goods or services supplied. All of this would obviously be bad news for the poor.

On this subject, at least, it takes more intelligence to understand the conservative side.

it depends on what you call "smarter"... let's look at a few things that are accepted a truths by both sides...

1. everyone agrees that the universities are dominated by liberal though... if intelligence is equal to education, then wouldn't those who control education be smarter?

2. If you look at the "red states" vs. the "blue states" and then look at the education levels of those states... it's not much of a contest... the lowest levels testing are in the south... the south is a major conservative stronghold...

take those as you will, but they definitely point in a certain direction..

anyone who believes that Republicans "think"... look around for 5 mins on here... that should be enough to prove you wrong...

No. I know just as many smart liberals as I do smart conservatives. The problem is that liberals seem to feel more than think on social issues believing that a big, overbearing, top heavy federal government is the answer to all woes. On the other hand, conservatives tend to stop thinking where their faith in the corporate empire is concerned, thinking that's the answer. What you have in this case is Communism verses Fascism.

Intelligence has nothing to do with political beliefs (nor religious beliefs). However, those with higher levels of education tend to be liberal and the blue states score higher on tests than red states do (they are also wealthier and spend more on education).

Here's the rankngs:
1. Vermont (Blue state)
2. Connecticut (Blue)
3. Massachusetts (Blue)
4. New Jersey (Blue)
5. Maine (Blue)
6. Minnesota (Blue)
7. Virginia (Red)
8. Wisconsin (Blue)
9. Montana (Red)
10. New York (Blue)

Bottom Ten:
1. Arizona (Red)
2. Mississippi (Red)
3. New Mexico (Red - but I'll call it purple since it went to Gore in '00)
4. Nevada (Red)
5. California (Blue)
6. Louisiana (Red)
7. Alaska (Red)
8. Alabama (Red)
9. Hawaii (Blue)
10. Tennessee (Blue)

So, that's 8 of the 10 smartest that are Blue and 8 of the ten of the least smart (or 7.5 out of 10) that are Red.

You do the math...

Not a question...

The power elite know that anyone who buys into the dichotomy of "Conservatives -vs- Liberals" is already unable to understand how the game is played and who is playing. It is just one more way they pit people up against one another so they have a Little toy-word to play with, meanwhile they take your freedoms, money and rights away daily.

conservatives are smart in their own respects and liberals are smart in their own respects. we just do not agree with how this country is runned.

since robert d likes to single people out and make them look stupid, he needs to get a life. but we have a president who favors the minority (the rich) and spends the money we don't have to rebuild other countries and pay for the cost of war.

look at the veterans who risked their lives for this country in the previous wars. and they are layed up in the VA with no latest medical equipment and such

Personal opinion is yes, but in truth its just we have different ways of processing the information we get. The results sometimes come out the same, but somehow in the thought process of liberals it takes a different road entirely.

Don't know. Not sure that there is really an accurate way to measure intelligence. However, a lot of liberals do seem to have their heads in the clouds.

Umm...well you have some intellectuals on both side. Problem is there are people on both side that convince the rest that their way is the only way. The truly smart ones are those that sit in the middle (but chose a side) and have the ability to actual listen to the other side and retort with and intelligent and inciteful statement.
