The US is stretched too thin as is.
The Middle East conflict is a lose-lose situation and the US usually -USUALLY- goes into situations that have at least an illusion of winning potential.
If it were clear that the US will not enter the fray, there might be some degree of urgency and seriousness in getting the conflicts under control, and working toward an acceptable compromise.

Have you noticed that almost everytime the U.S. has intervened in a conflict videlicet, Vietnam War and the war in Iraq, there wasn't much success?

Please! We need to handcuff our president to a tree somewhere so he can't go out and do any more damage in the world. Wait until he's solidly in on a 72-hour hold before sending someone more rational over there to wave a banner for peace.

I think Israel is doing OK on their own. We are in enough right now, best not to get spread too thin
