because some people really think that stuff has nothing to do with them and it does not effect them so they figure why bother BUT THOSE ARE PROBALY THE SAME PEOPLE THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT THE PRESIDENT OR THE NEW LAWS OR THAT KIND OF STUFF AND THEY PROBALY DIDN'T EVEN VOTE

Answer? Its been turned into nothing more than a Monday night football game. You have the Lumbering pachyderms on one side and the jack asses on the other rooting for there team no matter what. Mean while the main stream media lies to the public realizing that most people will take what they report as the Gospel and are to lackadaisical or apathetic to do alittle research for theme selves about whats really happening. Its divide and conquer. That age old trick that insures the people who are in power stay in power. Ive said it before and I'll say it again. For as long as the people as a whole keep putting in the same two tired old parties and the same old crusty,rich off the people,lazy,power drunk bitches and bastards into office,nothing will change for the better in this nation!Period!

The last two presidential elections have polarized Americans into two extreme camps, far left and far right, with no room for moderates in either camp. The result is a non functional government, that argue over non important issues.

People feel strongly about religion and politics. Those two subjects can basically sum up the majority's belief systems. People get testy when you discuss these topics- it's just natural.

I guess mean and stupid people need something to channel their ignorance and rage into. But all people aren't mean and stupid..it's just the ones who are are particularly vocal in this area. lol

it's a subjective topic to discuss in fact. i am wondering who is the " people" ur referring here...... citizen? politician? the government? Although some issues may not in yr favour but i am sure it serves the purpose to be implemented in the first place (despite it's non effectiveness to the public/country)
