I am responding to your question from a small town called South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. This is one of the New England states . I have actually had people ask me where Maine is! That always makes you feel good because it means you're definitely not mainstream. I am sitting here beside a small park where we have had decent downpours now and then all day. For this weekend, we are looking at temperatures in the nineties for Saturday and Sunday, but in my room here overlooking the park, I have a wonderful air conditioner, and it will be a blessing over the weekend. South Portland is a very nice place to live because everybody minds his own business, but if something should happen to you the phone will start ringing with offers of help and a neighbor will walk across the street to help you. We know all eight neighbors around an intersection where my home is. We all mind our own business, but we're right there for each other if anything foolish happens. This year here in Maine, we have had way too much rain. When the sun DOES come out, everyone goes around squinting. I dine at a lovely little restaurant each day where an average meal costs about $7.00 and if I want hot tea with it, that is another dollar. Affordable dining. For most travel I use a twelve-speed bicycle. I am 63 years old, and I will tell you, South Portland, Maine, is like living in Paradise. I hope you have a lovely summer where you are and thank you for reading all this! Sent with sincerity from Chris in Maine, U.S.A.

Yup. Most of England are asleep I suppose. I like talking to the Americans at night - highly entertaining. I'm in London, but working through the night. I'd better get back to it actually...

i have no clue if it's mostly 'anything' on here tonight or any time... don't know that it matters, actually. But, I'm an American... you should have said where/what YOU are- can't ask you now!
