China and Russia will run interference for Iran for as long as it frustrates US interests. It's a short-sighted view, but they're playing for time to become, in Russia's case, a more powerful economy through their oil and natural gas resources, and in China's case, a more powerful regional military power.

As long as they have financial interests in Iran and a general disdain for the US in a global-political sense. Which basically means, forever.
With everything thats going on, it seems like every country wants their piece of the crazy/terrorist pie, I hope the US is strong enough to endure this. I know a lot of people of a certain political persuasion are not. I wont mention any names.

Answer? For as long as they damn well please. Russia and China know that something they only dreamed of throughout the history of the cold war has come to pass. The United States,unfortunately,is boxed in. We owe the Chinese government TRILLIONS of dollars. They are floating our dollar right now,plus they make virtually all of our household goods to boot. Russia,I think,or I hope, Is just trying to keep trouble at bay. Its unfortunate that the huge multinational corporations have sold us out to an enemy that has vowed on more than one occasion to destroy us,all in the name of cheap labor!

As long as Iran supplies them with oil. I am not sure why they are behind N. Korea. but that is the motivation for them to back Iran.

You can laugh all you want but, according to Biblical prophecy, these two will ultimately come together against Israel during Armagedon... the last battle before Christ comes and stops it supernaturally at the end!
(Hey, everything I see going on right now is following Biblical prophecy, written over 2000 years ago, what else am I to think?)
