I'm not really sure what you're asking, but I'll give it a shot!
Obviously, all women are different. The best way to make your girlfriend's life better is to pay attention to her likes and dislikes, what makes her comfortable, and what issues she may have tied up in her body image. Make it clear that you want to get to know and understand her.
Women are generally more emotional than men; at least, they show it more often. Women want to know that you are there for them, that you actually care, that you are interested in what they have to say. Having real conversations where you say more than "uhhuh" and "ok" will show her that you're listening and interested.
You wrote body problems, so I'll jump on that for a moment. Understand that the majority of women have some type of psycological issue related to the way they look. This is a product of social pressure; even before you become a teenager you are bombarded with images of perfection and idealism, few of which are actually obtainable. While a man's level of success might be judged by his money, a woman's is frequently judged by her appearence. Sad, but true. Make sure your girlfriend knows that you like her body as it is, but if she does want to change something (like lose weight), be supportive and help her achieve her goals.
Really, the best thing you can do is really get to know your girlfriend and show her that you care.
