Different strokes for different folks! I've seen several trikes set up with full hand-controls for riders who are normally confined to a wheelchair, or are unable to balance a regular motorcycle. Others just prefer the ability to sit at a stop light without having to remember to put their feet down all the time!

I prefer sidecars to trikes, and I'm still trying to figure out how I can sneak a new Ural Patrol rig past my wife and into the garage ... ;-)

do not hardship about the actual incontrovertible truth that the automobile stands out extra one part than on the different, you could continually take a lesson off the line in a freinds field get used to it in case you want to. Trikes are like motor motorcycles, they purely make it slightly a lot less complicated to run your self over once you fall off. Trikes are very a lot toys, they have little sensible cost. you ought to continually bypass 1/2 way and get a three wheeled automobile, like a Reliant. ----- As an aside, my uncle made a trike around the decrease back axel and engine of a VW camper. He placed preserving bars below the engine simply by alarming tendancy of the the front wheel to elevate off the line lower than gentle acceleration or up hills.

There are many valid reasons why some people prefer trikes to 2 wheels. However, the day I can no longer hold up a two wheeler and ride it away is the day I stop riding. Trikes do nothing for me....I'll never own one.

this style of riding depends on the person riding and any physical abilities. trikes will be harder to turn over due to three wheels vs. two. usually older persons up in age prefer trikes but then again it goes back to the individual. i myself ride motorcycles and will always ride as long as i am able to due so unless balance becomes a serious factor. the closes i have come to riding a trike is an old atv three wheeler.

Consider the type of riding that you intend to do. Trikes are comfortable, but do not have the versatility that only two wheels offer. They are comfortable on longer trips, but you more or less "drive" them rather than ride them. As a commuter vehicle in an urban area they can be fun and cost effective, but have a hard time keeping up with a 2 wheeler on a longer trip.

I have been riding two wheelers for 35 years. I now also ride a VW Trike that I built myself. It is comfortable, good for the back (according to my physical therapist), and will out perform almost anything but a crotch rocket. With proper weight distribution and front end geometry, it handles like a sport scar but with the wind in your face like a Bike. Parts are cheap and plentiful. How many dead Volkswagen's to you see around and how many dead motorcycles? You can always find a VW. Too many variations when it comes to trying part's for your particular motorcycle.
And that's what I think about that!

ok, voyager kits, are removable depending on who wants to ride a trike or a bike. they are cheaper than motor trike kits. i myself have a weak right leg and cant hold up a big goldwing, so trike is most def for me. makes it easier to handle as well.
voyager also has 4 models to fit any bike made so far, and at 4500.00 is a bargain compared to the trikes that could cost up to 10,000.00. so be safe ride smart, and know your limit of what you can hold up. be careful all bikers and all trikers!!!!!

My brother and I bought 2 new bikes for a summer vacation. His 1200 Bandit leaked gas and ruined the motor before it got 2000 miles. We asked Suzuki to replace the motor so we could go on vacation. They said it’s to expensive and would cost $3000. After 4 months and the vacation gone they got the motor rebuilt at a their cost of $3700. The dealer wanted to replace the motor but Suzuki squashed that. The gas stained cases and burnt exhaust pipes were not replaced. The bike got nicked and scratched all over from being apart for so long. The rep rode it and looked at it, then said it’ good as new. It ran like crap and looked worse. We called Japan for nothing, and even wrote the US CEO all for nothing. We spent $15,000 for the bikes to get Fd. We spent our vacation hassling with Suzuki, and not one person there gave a F! Beware Suzuki’s warranty is not worth the paper it’s printed on! Buy one of their lemons are get Fd like we did!

motorcycles are motorcycles. trikes are just one wheel from a car. they cant lean through corners. often have car motors/transaxles. there is nothing good about them. unless you are a handicap rider. i can fully understand the need for them for that.
