At 11 I was deeply into things that related to sociology and history. Books about medieval times, the Industrial revolution, even war were amongst the subjects I was reading then. In terms of novels I think that was around the age I started really turning to the classics like Bronte, Austin, Dickens and other 19th century literary greats.

When I was 11 I remember reading:
THE HOBBIT, J.R.R. Tolkien
A WRINKLE IN TIME (and sequels), Madeleine L'Engle
THE BOOK OF THREE (and sequels), Lloyd Alexander
THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE (and other books in the Chronicles of Narnia), C.S. Lewis
...And since it is about 20 years since I read them at your age, they are obviously very memorable.
