There are a few great romance movies that are none of the categories you don't like:
Tequila Sunrise - Mel Gibson and Michele Phifer (sp?)
Body Heat - William Hurt and Kathleen Turner
The Big Easy - can't remember who's in this one but it's really romantic.
If you want to get really sappy then there's "The Way We Were".
(I'm probably showing my age with these suggestions but they really are great movies!)

Ghost is a great romantic movie!
if you like classic movies watch bringing up baby it is good and romantic!!!!!!
