Are you serious? Even if there is a stereotype about this racism, it doesn't mean that there isn't anyone who would step outside the box and think for themselves. Even when slavery was the in thing to do, there were people who were helping them escape. So would an Italian date an african american....My answer is, Hell yes! There will always be at least SOME people who have open minds and don't feel the need to follow along with the BS like lost sheep.

you know what? I heard the same thing a long time ago..they don't particularly care for African Americans..I have watched "A Bronx Tale" many times and it shows a great deal of racism between African Americans and Italians..I find Italian men extremely attractive and I wouldn't mind dating one myself but there aren't many in San Diego, CA..but I think some would date a black person, it just depends on their up-bringing.

I have heard that Italians don't like Black people, but it's not true all the time. Nothing is. Of course an Italian would be with a Black person. By the way, Mya, the singer, is half Black and half Italian.

I think it really depends on the individual. Some Italians are racist, some are not. Some eat pasta, some don't. Some people won't date outside of their race.

Smart people do not limit themselves, because at the end of the day you could be missing out on a fantastic person.

They might date but when it comes to marriage. I'd have to say no. The parents are still to strict. I know because my native friend was with an Italian guy for awhile. They have two children together. In the end the mother-in-law ended up driving her out because she was constantly putting her down.

You have raised a good question...And there is some truth to this, being from New Jersey. If you have ever watched an "Italian themed" movie or show (Godfather, Sopranos, Jungle Fever, etc) Blacks are always refered to as "Spooks" "Jigga-Boos" "*******" and "Pic-a-ninnes" all the names "the slave masteres" called us, but yet an still, they have gestures just like us(balcks). If I'm wrong, just watch "A Bronx Tale" "Jungle Fever" "The Godfather" "Sopranos" "The Wanders"

lol, yea I heard that and experienced it. My ex was Italian and I went to her house because we had to finish typing something in school. She told me it would have been better if we had gone to a library but I just wanted to get into her house. Lucky for me her mom was home and she was pissed. she started screaming at me and I thought it was because I came home home with her daughter. The next day the girl told me that her mom said she didnt want her dating a monkey. Ha Ha
