3:30am? Damn. Just leave at 7am, you'll be there by noon.

I am very serious, leave in the middle of the night, traffic on 95 is a nightmare during the day and the Garden State Parkway is at best a parking lot heading down the shore during the summer. ENJOY I love the Jersey Shore

I can tell you this, the Garden State Parkway heading south will be jammed all morning to early afternoon at least from Atlantic city and south. I would go in the afternoon.

definitely earlier is better....but look out for overnight construction. Not sure where in CT you are starting out...but plan on going over the Tappan Zee or GW Bridge around 6am and you will be fine

The earlier the better -- the Parkway can be a beast going to the shore
