I've never seen it! The clerk will generally reply, "You have more than 10 items" and that's it! And their items are already on the conveyor belt!!

never seen it. depending on the amount of items, i would rather the clerk just tell them they have too many and ring them up anyway; it might take longer to have them reload their cart and leave than to ring them up.

yes I have.. one time.. but the person had about 20 items and there was a long line.. and all of the registers were open.... this was the ONLY quick checkout line....
what happened?... well.. the person complained, LOUDLY.. in vulgar language... the manager came out to the register... and called for the police to escort the shopper out the front door...
meanwhile... the checker was checking out the other patron's... apologizing for the delay.

I saw a lady go up with probably about 50 items, and the clerk was just like, "I'll let it go this time, but you better not do it again."

yes i have it happen to me i was in a 10 items when i had about 15 and sense the line was big she told me to go to another line. i got my groceries and when to a different line

yep and im that clerk! express means 10 items or less!! i dont take ppl who have more than that im sorry. just takes up too much time.

i have by no skill considered it both. i imagine the ten products equipment is quite a lot an honor equipment. It keeps maximum "Over 10"ers out, even if it would not somewhat do a lot to resign those who smash the rule of thumb.
