I believe Africa was the founder of the slave trade in Africa. Others took advantage of it, or expanded it, or exported it, but there was slavery in Africa before anyone else showed up.
And keep in mind that many blacks were sold into slavery by other blacks. Nobody's hands are completely clean in that horrible deal.

i do no longer settle for that "all" Africans contributed to slavery. even nonetheless, the place does the history of slavery start up? on the time of our evolution from the timber? as a results of tribal conflict for the administration of looking grounds? via richness offered via passable activity, and transforming into agronomy understanding. via fact of very own ambition? i've got self assurance that the enslavement of the unlucky homo sapiens began very early in our evolution. Caucasians have been probable 5th or 6th on the checklist of enslavers. i've got self assurance that slavery is despicable. even nonetheless it has existed for an exceedingly long term. Slaves have been component of the spoils of the victor. i do no longer think that an attitude of indifference predominated. sure, that's genuine that slave hard artwork resulted in the enrichment of white plantation proprietors. Slaves have been additionally owned via unfastened blacks who had parcels of land in Louisiana. Sugar cane and rice vegetation. possibly it's going to be greater useful for our worldwide inhabitants to appreciate dominance is rather an phantasm. That the accountability of human beings is to augment the probability of cultural and guy or woman survival and improve.
