CG234 does have the theme lyrics right, but they didn't start the show with it.
First you saw footage of Shoe Shine Boy getting his customer's attention and pointing at the sky behind him as the announcer said: "Don't touch that dial! Watch this exciting scene from today's four part story of Underdog! Here it comes now..." and then there would be a film clip before the opening.
Syndication would later cut the film clip and go straight to the theme song, if they ever bothered with the announcer's intro to begin with.

The 'Powerpuff girls' *made* my childhood. I used to be in a decent-knit crew of three developing up and each of us were assigned roles when placing out and i was perpetually Bubbles. My buddy with ridiculously long hair used to be continually assigned Blossom and the other was Buttercup. To be sincere, Buttercup consistently scared me and i am definitely laughing that I recall all their names right now. In Grade 4, I obtained particularly ailing and needed to stay residence for a very long time and have a sweet reminiscence of my neighbour bringing over a toy Bubbles and a lovely card. I still have it laying round someplace now and do not need to do away with it. I had pencil cases, smooth toys, dolls, stationery...... The whole lot Powerpuff ladies. : ) I cherished it!
