if you are having a healthy pregnancy then go for it.. you will get really tired of sitting around trust me(8 months no job) and also think of all those awws you will be missing if you dont work. also i think it will help you from overeating and keep you steadily moving to help with your weight gain. you know when you get bored at home all you think about is "what sounds good to eat" so in my opinion work till you pop make money and have fun...congrats on the baby.. best of wishes!!

It really doesn't matter if you do or don't work so long as you and the baby are healthy and have no issues. I think it is great to work while pregnant. It keeps you busy and keeps you moving, which is much healthier for you and your baby. Also, if you work full time and are qualified for maternity leave, it is great to go on it and get paid while you are out on disability.
Now if you just don't want to work because you don't like working, then my advise is to discuss it with your partner, but be honest and not use the pregnancy to justify not working. I know it can be very tiring working while pregnant. I don't know how many times I would come home from work and take a nap, get up eat dinner and then go back down to bed. But either way, you will need that extra cash to pay for things you never thought you'd need.
Good luck.

It can be so that you can take care of yourself and rest when you need to and just concentrate on taking care of yourself. Some women like to. The best thing would be to have the option. You might want to work after you are done with the morning sickness and stop after you are further along. I think a woman should just listen to her body and do what she wants to do in an ideal world where people would not have to deal with money. If you can work on a temp or casual pool status that would be great and just call and ask to work when you want to that would be ideal I think. Some women need bed rest and so women get really tired near the end of a pregnancy.. It all depends on the woman and that particular pregnancy.

If the work enviroment is hazardous (chemicals or heavy lifting) or if you've already had complications in the pregnancy, it's best to take time off of work. But aside from that, it's best to work as much as you can. You can always quit if you're currently being supported with a husband's good paying job or something, but if you need the money, keep the job while you can.

If your job puts you or your baby at risk, then it's not a good idea. I personally spent months on bed rest because of a condition I developed and nearly went insane with boredom. If you feel good, then I say work if you want to.
By the way...I'd give anything to spend an entire day in bed now!!!

Yeah it can be good if you don't need the money. But honestly it kinda sucks because I don't feel like I see the outside world anymore. Also working keeps your mind busy so when u get home you be tierd from work but your loved one wont get b****ed at so much. It seems since I don't work since i"m pregnant I b**** about everything and anything even if its real stupid

It depends on what you do. If you work in an envrionment where there may be harmful fumes which could harm the baby, then maybe you should consider a move. Otherwise, any job which does not pose a risk to mother and child should be fine. Bills have to be paid, right?

It depends on what kind of work. Some jobs expose the unborn child to risks. For instance, if you work in a bar where people smoke, then you should probably quit. If you work in a job that you can perform without difficulty, then (with your doctor's permission) stick to it until the baby comes.

depends on what you do, like if your a hairdresser you come into contact with a lot of chemicals, usually the rule of thumb is that if you were doing the work before you got pregnant your okay to continue, but you shouldn't start a new job if it's stressful physically or emotionally

It depends on your health. If you are high risk, your doctor will ask you to go on bedrest or not to work. however, if you are a normal pregnancy, you can work up to when you deliver. I'm 7.5 months pregnant and am working up to my 9th month and then taking off!
Good luck with your pregnancy!
