It's not funny! I want to see his whole face! I know it represents the whole mysterious prying neighbour but surely its not only because its a gag...right?

since you never see all of him, it's supposed to show how we never really know our neighbors, but in the case of wilson, you can see why we should all take the time

Because you not suppose to see his face because the way had it set up. His character gave advice to his neighbor that's it. He had no real serious role on the show. It the mystery of the whole thing like guy that does voice in scream.

i think its part running joke, and part to make him seem more like the neighbour 'everyone" has. by not showing his face, he can represent the neighbour of anyone watching the show.
