They don't love each other

They could be afraid of the commitment.
Marriage is a big deal. Marry the wrong person and your life could become hell for a year or as long as you are married. And divorce isn't the most fun thing, having to split up all of the possessions. Plus, if you divorce, then when you look for a new person, it's not a good thing to have to tell them you've already been married and divorced once.

They truly do not want to, or they are not in love with the person they are currently in a relationship with. If you feel like you have need a reason good enough to why this person feels that you are not good enough for them, then getting married will not change a thing! Really, it might not be you.

They don't want to spend the money or go through the motions for something that doesn't matter anyway. Look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell... together for how many years, have 3 kids together... why go through that hassle when it doesn't make a difference to the relationship at all.

Some also want to thumb their noses traditional mores. Liberals and non-religious folks just don't care to formalize their relationship.

I don't know whether these are GOOD enough reasons for you, but that's the best I can do. :-)

Some people are just Afraid of commitment.
They're just too anxious and freaked out from the idea itself of forming a house and kids and stuff.
It's just their nature!
And some people get this idea out of their heads right when they find the right person.
While others are scared upon their "Freedom", they think that Marriage is going to destory their way of Freedom, hanging out with their friends and having a loud party life somehow.
That's why they get to choose not to get married.
I Guess!!!

Because in order to get married you need to know how to get through fights and deal with them but if neither one of the couple can admit to being wrong, they will argue continually until someone finally leaves.. and so it woudln't be smart ot get married
