About seven years ago I ran over a chipmunk. I still can see it shaking before it died in my mind's eye. I'm 43-years-old and I love animals just as much as I did when I was a little boy. Just reading your question brought that back to me. Believe me, it's tough. It's something you'll never forget no matter how hard you try. It's a traumatic event and your brain cannot just remove it from your memory banks. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I am speaking from experience. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

Nothing to worry about. If you could have helped it, I'm sure you would have. I hit a hound dog at 50 miles an hour one night, and it didn't do the 1991 Ford Escort I was driving, or the dog any good at all. Stuff like that happens, all the time. Glad it wasn't a deer, cow, horse, or some kind of big animal....Lots of times, after you hit one of those, they cause you to wreck, and do lots of damage.

it was only a cat get over it. just think of it this way. say more than 1000 cats are hit a day. thats just a easy and cheap way to keep down the pet population. way cheaper than bob barkers way, by having your pet spade or neutered.hope this helps.

I'd feel pretty sh!tty myself! I ran over a squirrel once...and it made me so sick to my stomach. I think you should get a cat from the shelter and set it free!
