It just happened at the Tigers game. I went like 20 rows up and hit 5 people on the way.

I think that even a backup player's bat would be a cool souvenir. It rarely happens, which makes it so great.

Yeah that'd be cool. But what if you weren't paying attention for 5 seconds just to buy peanuts, and it it flys into the air and smacks to upside the head?! That would leave a mark..

Better to actually catch it than wake up 2 innings later to find out that you caught it with the side of your head!

I used to get warned about throwing the bat in softball, now I run a couple yards before dropping it to be certain.
