I'd like to tell you it will all get better as you get older...It will and it wont. Dont worry about the big questions...who created the world or existance, most religions will tell you a vague answer GOD. But that doesn't explain it , does it? FOCUS on the smaller stuff!!
Do you really want to die or are you just so overwhelmed that you just want to whole world to stop so you can get your bearings? Never be ashamed to be alive, first of all you didn't choose to be your parents chose it for you. NOW you get to choose whatever you like to do with this life you've been given.
When I was 16 I wanted to die too...Now I am so VERY glad to be alive. If I had died I would have missed the wonderful things that you can only glimpse at 16. Talk to someone, everyone, get it out there, find out what makes them tick.
Suicide will only hurt the ones who love you, IT will NOT fix the way you feel or answer any of your questions.
I think the point of life is to be the best person you can be, by best I mean do whatever you want to do, be whoever you want to be... as long as you don't trample on others to get there.
Right now you have an unlimited expanse of choices available to you, read a book, paint a picture, take a walk, find out what touches you and pursue it. You like animals? Maybe think about volunteering with a vet or a rescue shelter, to see if you might want to follow that path. Maybe train them?
Maybe you want to learn to fly a plane,
Be an astronaut,
Build houses,
Find what makes you happy and chase away that depression.
You Can Do It

cmon u only 16 and thinking of dying.
i did have this thinking too but am already slightly more than 2 X yr age.
well i believe that when the time is up u will leave this world.
i tried for yr info. but i never left. took 62 sleeping pills one go, within minutes m gone for a 2 solid days of sleep(before was having insomia for a year-2hours a day of sleep the most).
The day i woke up i am shock 1st for being still alive, 2nd my room was filled with stench from the vomit. i totally can't recall what happens during the 2 days. afterwhich have hard time cleaning the mess and getting rid of the smell.
learnt my lesson, guess it's not the end yet. should b still having things to accomplish in this world before god will take me.
actively doing volunteer work and help other in any way i can.
At least that's the best i can contribute while still living.
think about the innocent lives taken during the twin-tower incident(911) and tsunami, mass bombing daily around the world.
live life to your fullest when time is up u will leave in peace.
God Bless

You are right, maybe there is no point in life, maybe we will never know why we were created or what is the meaning of life. Even so, you are here, you were brought to this world and if you end it now, you will never know what you might miss.Things change all the time, and how you feel about life might change sooner than you think. If you feel really down, I would suggest talking to your doctor, nothing to be ashamed of, most of the american population has experienced depression at one point or another

You are the son of a God, your lineage is divine, you have potential unlimited, you can do and be whatever you desire, you have the capacity to love and care and have faith, the earth is your dominion, all that exists in this world is yours, it was made for you, to provide you food and shelter and comfort and experience, everything that surrounds you exists with the purpose of making you happy, to feel joy, the flowers in the fields, the starlight in the sky, the birds and the oceans whispering your greatness. There is nothing more importantt in the world than you. You have to understand that you are importan, that your life has meaning, that this life is not the beginning or the end for you. You should not as Me? you should be yelling it out loud: ME!!! do it and you'll know what I'm talking about, just get it in your head that you are more important than you can imagine. Problem is that the devil wants you to think you are worthless because he wants you to be as miserable as he is, he doesn't want to be alone in his misery. Just don't mind him, You're awesome!!!

I was in that same exact situation last September, let me tell you it is not fun at all, But before you truly decide something, Take a look at the people who love you and will do anything for you... You got alot to live for and it may not seem like it now, but your just starting to grow up and stuff, Give it time, and while your at it seek professional help, Quick!
Suicide really isn't the answer, I was hospitalized for attempted suicide and until that day I thought life sucked completely and nothing was out there for me, Well now it's totally changed, In less than a year! Don't loose hope cause' honestly there's something out there for everyone, Including YOU!
Good luck, If you ever need to talk you can email me @

I've gotten that way myself, sometimes. But when I come out on the other side, now I realize that it was just like being in a gutter...I was depressed. I do understand your longing to get those questions answered, but if you weren't depressed, you might actually find those questions intrigueing.
Just hang in there, and later on it will get better. Suicide is a too-quick and final solution to a temporary problem. In other words, just wait, and things will get better. It would be a shame to end it all and miss out on what the future holds!

First of all you need to see a professional counselor. Nothing is so bad that you should be ashamed to live. I've experienced some horrific things in my life, and I know for a fact that the human spirit can withstand much more than we would think. Don't give up on yourself. You just need to talk to someone who understands. Would you like to E-mail me?

You are 16? Wait a couple more years and your outlook on life will change, I promise. You are going through a very weird time in life and you're going to wonder about stuff that you will figure out later. Take a deep breathe, then call your friends and go out. Have fun. Things will look much better when your hormones are no longer raging.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Believe it or not, it's better if you tell a friend or someone you're closer to. That way there you can discuss your feelings and the person will listen, instead of saying answers such as "You're too young to be depressed" or "What is there to be depressed about?". Those don't help. Tell someone. I wish you the best.

Stop focusing so much on you...how you feel. Think about the people all over the world..little babies and children that go to bed hungry...or are in a war zone and have to jump everytime they hear a loud noise. There are a lot of people in much worse situations that only hope for tomorrow.I don't know what has brought you to thinking this way..I pray for you...keep talking to people...grab a fishing pole and go down to the water a fish...Good luck!
