T-Mobile is the best, and has the proof to show it. T-Mobile has earned the JD Powers best in customer satisfaction award three years in a row, an is currently at the top for the fourth year. Also, the best overall Cell-site coverage and the best price on rate plans (the GET MORE guarantee). Go to www.t-mobile.com. There is a coverage map where you can plug in your address and get what your coverage is, you can choose a rate plan and phone on the web, and even activate your account online. If you prefer the personal touch, you can call 1-800-TMOBILE, or you can put your address into the store locator search for the nearest location

My family has had cingular for over a year until we were out of the area, and it was costing them more to keep us then it was their worth, so since then we tried T-Mobile. Where we had service with Cingular, we did NOT have service with T-Mobile. We do live in the country though.
So we tried Verizon. They are better between the three. We do have service out here where we live, where we didn't with T-Mobile, but my husband and I can go up to his parents and we have a good service up there.
One thing we liked about cingular, they have roll-over minutes so if you didn't use them all the one month, it rolled over to the next month and you still could use them. You really didn't have to worry about going over the minutes.
So it depends where you live and where you will travel a lot. Hope this helps!

I had Cingular for 26 days and had to "cut them loose". Their service hasn't improved since I tried to use them in 2001. Dropped calls, poor equipment and high monthly bills
I switched to TMobile 2 weeks ago and so far so good.
The biggest difference is the bill. Cingular charges twice as much as TMobile.
Tech Support with TMobile was professional and helpful... PacBell aka Cingular aka SBC aka AT&T, is the same old stuff.
So Cingular= higher bills and poor service
T Mobile = lower bills and great service.
I'd have to say go with T Mobile.

tmobile. Here are some reasons: Sleeker phones, lower rates, free Tzones access to look for ringtones, etc. (Cingular charges for it). More minutes (1500 Whenever for 40 bucks a month)(Cingular gives you 600 for the same price) I also know someone whose parents had Cingular and got NO service in the dead center of NYC! They switched to Tmobile and never had a problem since.

Cingular. T-Mobile was always dropping my calls. And when you want to cancel service, they seem to want to let you go and are very pushy.

cingular has better coverage and you use a SIM card. you can change phones by changing the card and do not need Verizon support to change devices. I have a small phone for the weekend and a PDA phone for work
