I wouldn't say that you can use a specific age. It depends on maturity, responsibility, commitment, and security. If your 15, use protection show maturity by planning what to do if something goes wrong, etc. you might be ready. 13 is too young! I'm 13 and know that I myself won't be ready for awhile. It also depends on who its with. Good Luck♥

Personally i think that 20+ is the best time but while your young you should have fun and i dont mean wait til your like 50 and lose it i mean that you will want to use your time wisely, because once you have a kid you have all the responsibilitys to do. Like take care of your baby and you can't let it be out of your sight or that would be neglection. So 20+ it is.

When you're old enough to take on the physical and emotional responsibilities that go along with it. When you're old enough to understand what you need to do to keep yourself safe from disease and pregnancy and practice them regularly. When there's no doubt in your mind that your partner will respect your requests and boundaries if you want to stop or have him go slower or be more gentle. You need to have a huuuge amount of trust in your partner. It also sometimes depends on your personal religious beliefs. I think it's an unrealistic expectation to wait until marriage, but to some, waiting is very very important.
I think a good rule of thumb is if you don't feel completely ready and comfortable, or if you don't understand how to properly protect yourself, wait.

Had this conversation with my girfriends recently (we're in our early 30's now) All of us were saying that when you are younger, you aren't really aware of what it is that you're giving away. If you think about it, you are allowing another person to enter your body, and that is one of the most profound things that can happen to a woman.
Sadly, most young guys don't even come close to understanding the meaning of "making love", and most young women don't either. It is a sacred act, your body is a beautiful thing, and once you give it away that first time, that's it!
