Yes, there is, as many psychiartrists and psychologists would agree.
First, you must clearly define Madness. That's a tall order, because there is still much debate about an exact definition. It is said that artists are mad, you've definitely heard the phrase "the mad scientist" and, of course, you can get as mad as hell, right?
Second, what is Normal? Again, the same problematic persists and still with no resolution.
Mad people can do logical and illogical things, just as much as Normal people can. However, those labelled as Mad may be doing more illogical things more often -- and even when it is illiogical, there is still method.

I think so. Often one person's method of doing something looks like madness to someone else who would have done something differently.

yes there is truth to it lets just say some one came up and said or did something absolutely insane just so that they can get certain reaction out of you or to make you think differently of them from then on. what you thought was madness was really a well thought out plan.

Yes there is. Since you can't get inside someone else's head, you can't always see exactly why they are doing something. I am one of those people who I have to frequently tell those around "Don't worry, there is a method to my madness...".
