Most likely, assuming it's not strong enough or pressurized enough to expel all air molecules from it in which case you'd get no lift, thus crash. Also, increasing evidence points to tornadoes as electrical phenomena, with possibly strong electromagnetic effects localized to its spinning vortex walls. That could damage electronics in an air craft. And generally the winds are sufficient to really eliminate any control you might have going into it, and likely you'd lose control of the plane. So, I wouldn't, for the above reasons, suggest trying it. Not sober anyway. And definitely not drunk. I guess that covers all the bases.

Fighter jets might be able to go fast enough to overcome the forces involved and kinetically punch through like a bullet. But since there might be electromagnetic effects I wouldn't suggest it as it might short out the electronics when you punch through the vortex walls.

Yes, I can fly in a tornado. However, because I live in West Virginia, there are no torandos for me to fly it, so I haven't done it yet. But I KNOW if there WAS I tornado, I definately could fly in it.

Yes, but you might be conked unconscious by the other detrius flying around inside it and may die from the landing.

Depends on the force.

For a belly laugh, watch the old Beavis and Butthead cartoon where they ride their bikes off to the trailer park so they can get close to a tornado that they get caught up in!

There have been true reports of people being lifted up by a tornado and dropped elsewhere. Most of them die, however, I do recall a story of a baby/infant being dropped safely in a tree a few hundred feet from where it was taken.

Yes, the military did it with an old fighter. The video I saw looked to be late sixties or early 70's.

wouldn't exactly call it flying since flying insinuates that it is under your own power. i think it would be more like sucked into the air and allowed to free fall.
