We're not here to do your math homework for you.

However, area is a multiplicative function. If you have something 2 x 3 in,

| 4 | 5 | 6 |
---------------

We get 6 square inches. IE, each square above is one inch by 1 inch. And there are six one-inch squares. Or six square inches.

It's multiplicative. The number of units of length multiplied by the number of units of width.
