Ugly - No. Regal.
Bad Smelling - Depends. Not if kept clean. What is bad smelling to some people and animals is perfume to others.
Filthy - Filth depends on the living conditions you maintain but one should not stray too far from the feral earth anyway or you will lose touch with your Mother Earth. Filth speaks more of the person's view of what a dog should be.
Loud AND Obnoxious - No based on the AND. They can be loud depending on breed, training, situation. Obnoxious - Never. Animals are as much the beauty of this world as we are. If they have been abused or neglected, they may be bad-tempered. Kind of like humans huh. We end up sending a lot of them to the pound.

not always, and there are far more ugly, filthy, bad smelling, loud and obnoxious men in this world. Im a cat person but dogs have their place in this world too. If you dont like them, dont have one, if you dont like the neighbors dogs, move to the middle of the desert. enjoy the snakes and lizards.

...won't stop panting and breathing heavy, won't stop licking self, won't stop making gross sticky mouth noises, dribbling water through the house after getting a drink, shaking water off in the house onto wood furniture when there is a perfectly good enclosed porch for this, biscuit crumbs hurt bare feet so I can no longer go barefoot in our own house, flips out and barks at nothing, won't stay out of the plants, kills the plants, kills the yard, if I have to clean my shoe one more time...smells bad, makes your hands feel greasy and stink, the nose on bare skin is awful, can't keep the mouth off of things do not belong to it, ruins it's toys AND the cats', please make the collar tags stop jingling five and a half years of it is enough, runs around back yard and steps in it's own crap, tracks said crap into the house, has to act like it hasn't seen you in three weeks if you come in after being outside for 15 minutes and god forbid if you've been gone all day, has to be right on your heals all the time, has to lay where ever people walk through the house, has to lay in those spots in the dark at night so people then trip over it, can fart up a room in mere minutes...

No way. Dogs are beautiful, well, they are bad smelling if you don't give them a shower. They are not filthy, lous and/or obnoxious. So I disagree.

Yes, and I also think that they are worshipped in the United States too much, and I also have observed select social service agencies that abuse others by insisting they have to like animals.

no. dogs are nice, adorable, and some are loud but if you clean it they aren't filthy
