Okay. The netting on bathing suits really bothers me, without getting into too much detail. I have heard that that boardshorts, or boardershorts (which one is it?), doesn't have netting but that you wear them with boxers or something underneath. Is this true? If not, let me know. I'm in fashion trouble here. HELP!

Its all about what is more comfortable for you. If you would prefer to wear boxers underneath, go for it. If not, that's your choice. There isn't a right or wrong way to wear them. Of course, if you wear underwear, bring another pair, since the ones you have on will be wet after your aquatic activity.

When my sons were younger, it was always white knitted briefs. Now that my sons can make their own choice, I notice they are all wearing boxer shorts under everything.
Usually they are baggy; however one son wears a boxer- style knit underpants that fits tighter on the upper legs. That style might work for you too?

they are boardshorts (not boarder) and they don't have netting :)
and you do wear a bathing suit or panties underthem.

go commando with it and have fun. now if your balls stretch below your knees,(i doubt they do but you never know)
wear something under them, especially if your around kids.
(don't want any previews for your movie, just in case, catch my drift?)
